6 Paths to Nourishment

The 6 Paths to Nourishment is the model that The Food Coach work is founded on. When you are working One-on-One with Tzabia, you will be guided through the 6 PATHS.

Real health is multi-faceted. We are more than this body, but also inside of this body. The 6 Paths to Nourishment (Food, Mind, Soul, Emotions, Movement, Rest) addresses the whole of us. The whole of you. The healthy, energized, optimal YOU, that you desire to be.

Depending on your personal needs, you will be guided through each path to get the education, practices, and resources that you need. If you are already skilled and happy with your status in one or more area, awesome. Now you can focus on the other paths.

Path 1
Food

Food is one of life’s great pleasures. Or so it should be. However when we’re ruled, confused or obsessed by it, it is not a pleasure. It becomes a burden.

Now think about that. Food being a burden is like love being a burden. It is so basic to our needs, to the very substance of what we are made of. In fact, we are made of it. Our body uses the molecules from food for its form, function and fuel. So what happens when what you eat isn’t nutrient-dense? Then you won’t function right. It’s that simple. What happens is low energy, erratic moods, symptoms of all sorts. Maybe you’ve accepted those symptoms as normal. But don’t you yearn for something better? I know you do because we all do - we all crave lightness.

Being coached by Tzabia gives you access to the essentials of good nutrition without the confusion. The essentials are laid out, with room for you to adapt to the foodscape that works best for you. You’ll have tools to make it easier, to shorten the learning curve. Beyond the ‘what’ of eating, you get to explore perspectives on food that challenge the guilt, the all-or-nothing, the not good enough. You can move beyond judgment and into self-compassion so you can keep moving towards your incredible lightness of being.

Path 2
Mind

You’ve done enough diets and experimenting to know that if you’re looking to lose weight and keep it off, that it doesn’t happen without getting your mind on board. There has to be more behind your efforts than just a momentary decision that is prone to change as the wind blows through your life. There are just too many things happening that could throw you off of your path unless you have a big reason to change. And if you have a big reason but you believe that you can never reach it, that won’t work either. You need vision for yourself and you need to shift what you believe about yourself to align with your vision. Come learn how to do that.

Path 3
Soul

The thing about doing soul work is that it feels good. Even when it’s hard. You know you’re doing the right thing. If we listen, our soul speaks to us through a sensibility of “YES. This is right.” When we’re nourishing our soul, we rely less on food and other substances (or people) to fill us up. It makes sense. When we’re feeding our soul, the feel good neurotransmitters are firing, so our biology is happier. Learn to listen to your soul. Learn to follow it.

Path 4
Emotions

As human beings, we’re a bundle of emotions. Our emotional brain is developed earlier in our life than our analytical executive brain. Much of our life experiences are registered and memorized by our tissues and emotional brain. So we are destined to repeat our emotions over and over again until we recognize and release them. Unreleased, our emotions lead to stress. Stress leads to the need for relief. The need for relief will trigger the desire to eat, drink, smoke or toke to comfort ourselves. What if you had tools to recognize and release discomforting emotions? How much more control would you have? Find out.

Path 5
Movement

We all know that we need to get exercise. Often our need to avoid discomfort has us tune out the promises that we make to ourselves to get that exercise. How do you make it a habit to get daily movement? Self-awareness, structures, love, good feelings, mind-training, accountability all play a role. Get on board with your moving self.

Path 6
Rest

Having a chance to be still, having time to reconnect with yourself - what you need and desire, to reassess your circumstances and to simply play, is a source of rejuvenation. If you stay in touch with your need to rest and relax, you can return to your commitments with more energy. Rest and relaxation is needed to address change, and the stresses of your life with more calm and understanding. This rejuvenation stretches to our biological health and body weight. Getting into the relaxation side of the nervous system is what turns on the hormones that support our metabolism, natural rhythms and healing. Learn how to bring more rest and relaxation into your daily life.
